Having same exact issue, would love a fix
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had reported this to Best Buy and they did say they would try to have a resolution. The issue is resolved now. Sometime this week they fixed it. I tried again today, and this time the TV updated itself to the latest version, and it worked. I was able to successfully register the device with my Amazon account, and I am successfully using it as a Fire TV. If you/others have not yet returned the TV, try it again.

It says the device registered, but then when I go to see all my registered devices in my Amazon account, it is not listed. The TV stays on the sign in screen. So it seems to be a problem with Amazon with the device registration not completing. It never makes the handshake back to the TV. Hope they figure out a fix soon, or I will have to return.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the same problem. I had to do hard reset and skip connecting to WiFi. I ended up just using this TV via antenna.
