this tv works on a fat32 format it wont read ntfs which is what most windows drives format to over 32 gigs you can plug your drive into the usb port and let it format it for you or you can use your pc if using windows go to this site http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/index.htm?guiformat.htm clik on the picture and download the standalone tool plug in your usb stick or hard drive start the formatter and choose fat 32 it supports up to 16tb but works better up to 8tb. now andd your movies/pictures/music whatever go back to your tv go to apps find and add archos or vlc media players both are free and work i tested both plug in your fat32 usb drive start one of the players you added and your up and running
