• No you cannot do this, the answer from insignia customers support is wrong ! I have the tv in my hands and you cannot airplay to it :|

• The problem is airplay can be wireless and wired with apple’s hdmi adapter. With that you can screen mirror to anything with a USB port. Smart TVs are needed to wirelessly airplay. That’s the confusion.

• Hi Daize, Yes you can use it. It allows you to stream a whole movie through another device by mirroring your iPhone screen. It works with and without Wi-Fi.
