“Could a neighbor in a dorm room next door pair to the speakers' Bluetooth connection without my approval? (If I am not connected at the time with Bluetooth, just with a wired connection. Wouldn't want pranksters blasting metal at 3 am!)”

No they cant lol Bluetooth has to be selected in order for pairing to begin if you are on a wired connection no issues but a great concern

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don’t think so. The speakers come with a remote control button that you can use to turn off the speakers. You could also unplug them if you’re still concerned.
