• Mine makes noise when the compressor is working to cool the fridge. Yes, I can hear it, no, it's not loud enough to interrupt a conversation - but it is noticeable. Once the compressor turns off, it's totally quiet. If yours sounds like a vacuum cleaner or jet engine, yes, you should have it looked at.

• No it should not. Mines quiet. I couldn’t tell if it was on, until I pulled my first bottle from it and it was cool. You might have to exchange it.
