YES.....even if it is not on dry. However, it will not let you know/ give an indicator (FL) unless on dry. Mine started spitting water from the front. I switched it to dry and immediately got (FL) on the screen and it shut off. Best buy doesn't include a user guide with it, only a set up guide. I had to go online to find out what was going on. So on page 23 it tells you to use a syphon to get the water out (guess what Best buy doesn't sell one even though it is required to empty it). I bought a Frigidaire the same day I bought this one. I bought a dehumidifier hose for that one, screwed it on and let it drain out of the window next to outlet vent. EASY. Still trying to figure out a solution to this one since I am not physically able to unplug, disconnect the vent hose, and syphon the water (clean up afterwards) every time it needs empting.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, however it does not use a bucket method that you pull out of the unit. It has a drain hose in the back, that you hold a bucket to till it empties out. I attached a longer tube with a clamp at the end to there hose and the bucket is on the floor. I pull off the clamp at the end of the hose, and it drains in to the bucket.. No strain, no mess!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I literally had the same f.l problem couldnt figure it out though it was electrical as the lights deemed and unit refused to turn on for no more then 5 secs. But youre right it does need to be emptied. I think f.l stands for fluid in some was. As the a.c and cold air creates condensation. It was so easy to fix i felt like such an idiot i didnt figure it out sooner. On the back of the unit theres a rubber stopper type thing. Just unplug stopper and like the fluid drain out. Unit was good to go for me right after that. Hope this helps anyone with the same problem. If not hopefully kt can get your mind in the right place to fix the problem. Enjoy!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.only if u use it on dry other than that i haven t emptied it
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have been using this unit for over a month and I tried to empty it to play safe and o Love You a couple drops came out. It have a evaporator to get rid of the water it self but I assuming if you usu it 24/7 without stop it my get some water in the reservoir and you might have to empty it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have never had to empty antthing in this unit. We only used it one day until our air conditioning could be installed. There is a vent that does have to be positioned out the window or else hot air will be released in the room. It worked great and was worth the money. I am happy I bought it even though I don't need it now.
