“Does the remote operate an Insignia DVD player too? I'm looking for a way to add a DVD player to my mom's Insignia TV. Her remote has what appear to be DVD player controls, such as play, FF, rewind. Other brands' remotes will control multiple devices from the same brand, but I don't know if Insignia does. Anyone have actual experience controlling an Insignia DVD player with this TV's remote?”

• This remote does not operate a DVD. You will have to get a universal remote for your DVD player. The rewind/play features are for the smart tv use. Netflix, amazon etc.

• Yes! Once you've successfully wired the DVR/DVD/VIDEO•GAME•SYSTEM Devices through the Insignia each Unit can be activated by ➡INPUT button on the Remote & selecting desired device. We easily hooked up a DVD, SOUNDBAR and a PS4 Game System to our Insignia for the all immersive TV experience (w/o the cost of a Smart TV)! Delighted with both our 14mo.old INSIGNIA 32"/720HD & Brand New INSIGNIA 40"/1080HD TV w it's INSIGNIA 2.1 SOUNDBAR to round out the experience!
