Yes the TV does receive OTA local broadcast tv stations. Of course, you will need an antenna hooked up to it. Instead of having numbers on the remote to access the channels, you have to push the “TV” button and a TV guide will come up. Also, you can push the “Speech” button and say the channel desired and the TV will go to that channel. Many TVs are going this route now. It’s different, but easy when you get used to it. If you lose the remote, I’m not sure what you’d do.
