No, this TV does not support Cast technology. However, you can connect a Chromecast device at any time.

If you own an Android, you will have to have a Bluetooth compatible phone, download the proper app from the Google Playstore and then hope you television recognizes your phone as a "recognizable device"; assuming your television is also Bluetooth compatible and has an Amazon App that allows your telephone to cast video to it. My Insignia had two HDMI ports, a USB port, and a coax port as well. Also, I am not someone I would consider "Non-Tech Savvy", which is to say I know my way around a phone, PC, or other sorts of tech, but I was unable to get it to work. I posted a review on this television after purchasing it and I said in that review, that I would NOT purchase a Fire Capable TV again, as a Samsung Smart TV (as my other TV is) is so much less complicated and does everything I'd hoped the Fire TV would also do, but couldn't. I attribute this to the fact that this Insignia Fire TV is "App-Based", so if there is not an app for it in the Amazon App Store, as there is not one for DirecTV NOW, then you cannot use it for that function; I can with my Samsung. The largest issue I had with this particular function, is that in order to cast to it, you needed to download an app that was formatted for a tablet. It asks you straight forward, "watch on Television, or Watch on Tablet", and when it says TV, it does not mean your actual television, rather it wants to know for which you are downloading the app, through your tablet, or your TV. Since the cast is originating from your telephone, you need to choose "Tablet", and the Amazon App Store is limited at this time. This may change at some point, but was the same issue that the "Fire Mobile Phone" had, and largely why it was not successful, as well as the Windows phone; neither had the widespread applications that Google's Playstore or iPhone's App Store do, and they both fell off the face of the tech world. If I were you, I'd go with something like the one I added below and skip the overly, and unnecessarily complicated FireTV.
