To do a Channel Scan on the Fire TV Edition television go: Home > Settings > Live TV > Channel Scan.
To launch Live TV, press the TV button on the remote.

A:AnswerIt does not have a built in DVD player if that’s what your question means. If you have a DVD player or even blu Ray player hooked into one of the hdmi ports it will work just fine.

A:AnswerI don't know - it has inputs for antenna (coax cable), 3 HDMI inputs, plus USB port. Takes standard DVD player output (yellow, red, white cables). Takes ethernet cable or wifi. No mention of "Apple" in 28 page user manual

The TV does not have the default to go to a certain HDMI, however, it does have the last input used. This will allow you to go the last input you or your family member where watching. e.g. HDMI 2.
Settings> Display & Sounds> Power On> Last Input used.
