I've found that all flat-screen tvs have horrible speakers as compared to analog tvs. I think they do this on purpose to force you to either buy a sound bar, speaker system or a $1,000 tv. On this one, however, I've found that for my network channels (I use an antenna) the sound is ok. Have trouble sometimes making out what people are saying when watching dvds, even when the volume is turned up to maximum, unless the dvd has an audio option for stereo. Seems the background music likes to blast you out of your seat and drown out people's voices. (Music comes through like theater quality.) This tv does, however, allow you to manually adjust the sound system (base/treble etc.) which also helps. My biggest grind with this tv is the tuner which does NOT allow you to keep the channels you already have when rescanning - which means you can't use a rotor on your antenna!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not horrible, but I did buy a cheap sound bar.
