Unlike some wine coolers, this one has only a single temperature zone and can't store white wines at a different temperature than red wines. That said, many agree that the optimal storage temperature for all wines is 55 degrees (which is the lowest this cooler can generate). Red wines would be removed from the cooler to warm up to room temp before serving, while white wines would be put into the fridge to cool further before serving. So the short answer to your question is: Yes.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not if you're a meticulous wine connoisseur. When I thought I was I had a wine cooler with two temperature zones, one for red and one for white. When we moved I left it behind and bought this one and haven't noticed it. So, in my book, it's the kind of difference that doesn't make a difference. I'd buy this one again.
