Mine had this problem too, but I was able to fix it. Apparently the screw holding the agitator came loose. You have to remove the top of the agitator by using a butter knife or flat screwdriver to press the clips in and lift up. The screw is at the bottom in there, so if you have large hands, it will be difficult. You may need an extender for your bit, or a long Philips screwdriver. Tighten the screw and that should fix it.
