I recommend contacting the manufacturer - BestBuy should honor your request regardless of the 15 days. Elevate immediately and speak to someone about processing an entire return just to repurchase a newer one. You can always purchase a new one, swap out the old bin, and throw the broken one back into the recently purchased fridge, that will show BB to offer better customer service.
