“My insignia 4.3 cu ft compact frig is not running. Any suggestions for trouble shooting. I checked outlet and that is ok. Hope I can save the frig without investing much money in fixing it.”

I remember reading on the manual that after a power loss there is a delay in operating. Could that be it ?

While under Original or Extended Warranty which is highly recommended, they are normally simply replaced. Unless you have a friend that is into Refrigeration Repair, if its new or still under warranty, call for a replacement.
