That is not how USB works. each port is individually addressed. Basically Computers are smart and can read both simultaneously
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just plug in your device. When you open up "My Computer" you will see all your devices that are plugged in. It doesn't matter which one you plug it in, it still recognizes them. Hope that helps. I love mine! My laptop only had two available USB hubs, this was awesome to get because I have so many different things, like my video cam, my drawing tablet, my mouse and keyboard (I like the full sized for my laptop!)...so I highly recommend this to handle everything extra that you uses a USB!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The computer hardware picks that information up after you plug the item in.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Fortunately it assigns either a drive letter or a distinctive description so that you can easily identify each module. I currently have a passport external drive and a printer hooked up. This also leaves an available slot for my thumb drive when I download or upload documents from work that I've brought home.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The machine should have assigned a letter or name to each individual item plugged in and it is told where the info it needs is either going or coming from.
