• The power cord is provided to charge devices with a USB cord (phone, tablet, smartwatch, etc.). To use it as "extra" ports on a computer for mouse/keyboard, you just need to plug the USB cord into an existing USB port on the computer. The hub will draw power from the computer, no need to use the power cord.

• I USE THE HUB TO CONNECT 4 EXTERNAL DRIVES TO MY DEASKTP. AND SINCE IT IS POWERED IT WORKS PERFECTLY FOR MY NEEDS! I DON’T KNOW WHY IT WOUDN’T WORK FOR YOUR PROJECY!
