“is this tv digital cable friendly? Does it need a converter box or is it built in and does it hook up to Comcast /xfinity boxes and work out of the box? IM Not familiar with some of the new technology of "smart" TV's vs hdtv”

• depends.. if using regular cable box non HD tv and rf input set tv to channel 3 or 4.. if your cable box has HDMI use that. tv is not fancy no smart apps which is fine with me.
