Keep in mind that the feet are diagonal, not parallel to each other. Based on the 25.5" description I thought that the TV would just fit on my old microwave stand. It didn't, because the front of the feet are actually 31" apart and overhung the stand too much. I considered returning the set for one with a pedestal stand, but lucked out when a friend donated an old 33" shelf from an Ikea type book case. We put that on top of the stand, and secured it with a C-clamp so it wouldn't slide. I might not do that in a more public room, but this is in the bedroom/den so I'm not that worried about appearance.

As 25-1/2 inch center line to center line of mount locations. As most of the TV watching I do is while I an in bed, the wall mount is almost to the roof of room.
