Hello Best Buy customer Joe and thank you for asking this question as I am sure that there are a lot of people out there who own "desktop" towers which have VGA female ports and/or do not have an HDMI female port available on their computer. I did a little research for you and other Best Buy customers and I conducted a GOOGLE and Bing.com search for the phrase => "VGA Male HDMI Female Adapter." It would be up to you and others to inquire about the functionality of "any" product fitting this description; however, I have seen this type of adapter for sale on the Internet and they are not that expensive. I have provided a photo attachment of this type of adapter below for you and other Best Buy customers' review. I am not endorsing any one brand! I am just attempting to demonstrate what this type of adapter "may" look like. I have "also" provided two (2) product "recommendations" which I found on the Best Buy website. You "may" also want to consider incorporating a VGA male to HDMI male adapter into the connection process. Again, I cannot attest to the functionality of these items as I don't know 100% if they will be right for your specific application; however, you can ask an appropriate representative of Best Buy sales and I am confident that they will be able to assist you or you can call the manufacturers of the products directly. I've also included an image of a DYNEX brand HDMI cable which I found on the Best Buy website. Even though six (6) months has passed since your question has been posted on this website Best Buy customer Joe, I am sure that your coming forward with your concerns will help a lot of other Best Buy customers as well.
