• yes it does but you can set what the smart buttons do and just push one button to go there and it will do it. i have it linked to my harmony remote and it goes right to tv or whatever i want and skips over that home screen.

• Yes, you have to choose on the menu.mine is set to default land on antenna, which is my cable provider

• Yes, it does go to the roku screen, which is a great benefit because you are easily able to navigate to whatever you are wanting to watch.
