“is this frrezer good to put in a garage that is not insulated. I live in NY and it gets pretty cold at night in the wintertime. I have a fridge/freezer in there now that is only 14 months old and the freezer doesn't work when it is really cold.”

No freezer will work well at lower temperatures if it uses freon. Freon is a liquid that has a low boiling point. It works by heat transfer and the gas changing from a gas to a liquid and then back again. If it gets so cold that it can't boil to change to a gas, it won't work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Regular freezers do work in a very cold environment. I do not believe this one will unless it is rated for working in the garage (which I do not know). There are freezers can work in cold garage and it is certified to do so. GE may have one.
