• NO - it is not - However so far frost build up has been very minor

• This freezer is not frost- free and requires a manual defrost when a defrost is necessary. When I was shopping for a freezer, I could not find a frost-free model for less than twice the price of this one. I have been very happy with this one in my garage for extra storage.
