Hi Jon! Thank you for inquiring about our Insignia™ - 50" Class F30 Series LED 4K UHD Smart Fire TV. In order to control the TV and logout existing streaming app account, the Phone and the TV should be connected to the same network or WiFi, and that they are logged into the same Amazon account.
