• Check the menu or help button on your cable provider remote, I know that Direct TV has the ability to switch input on the TV

• To set your Insignia™ 50" Class F30 Series LED 4K UHD Smart Fire TV to automatically start on cable TV instead of the menu, follow these steps: Go to Settings > Display and Sound > Power Controls > Power On and select Last Input.
