I like the tv but the remote does not work unless you are absolutely directly in front of the tv. I've tried new batteries. It's been this way since new. Super disappointing. Anyone have the same issue, is there anything that can be done? null

I have that issue and no. My blu ray player is the same way though. It's because of the sensors

Aiming at the lower left seems to be the sweet spot.
