• Amazon Prime is only required for Prime-related content. It is not free, you will have to pay for it to use it along with any other apps that require it. There are a handful of free ones like Crackle and Pluto.

• No! you can watch OTA TV and other streaming services like HULU and NETFLIX. You only need and Amazon subscription to use the Amazon features like Amazon video.
