Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.That's a little confusing. The purpose of a cable box is a Box in it's self. However if you have cable tv and your Cable is able to connect to your tv system via wifi or some other screaming ability then I don't think a HDMI cable is necessary. I would check with your cable supply for more tech/troubleshoot questions like that.
