• USB is USB, and HDMI is HDMI. Your Firestick has 2 ports, a mini usb for power and an HDMI to connect to the TV. It's normal for the connectors to be snug. Should be that way.

• HDMI and USB are two different cables. There are only 2 types of HDMI as far as I know. Regular HDMI and Mini HDMI.

• We purchased an HDMI / HDMI cable and connected our Samsung tv to our Lenovo laptop. If you have HDMI ports on both devices, this works best.
