• If you Macbook has an HDMI port and the other TV/Monitor has a DisplayPort, it should be compatible.

• The best I can help with is saying if your laptop has the port yes it will work. This is a very new standard and I personally have only seen display ports in desktops but I am not familiar with macs. But the HDMI will work with any modern TV.

• Not sure about MAC. Does it have a connection that looks similar to HDMI but has a DP label? If so, then yes it should work.

• No the one end is shaped differently. No ports on Mac to fit that.
