• I believe so. This was what we used to hook up a dual monitor system w/ HDMI because we had a similar port issue. Check with geek..they will be able to tell you if you need something different though.

• yes it connects HDMI to your display port... just make sure you're using your video card and not the motherboard port, you can't use them together.
