• I have connect it from HDMI port in a Dell laptop to a couple monitors. It works fine. I think it should work on any DVI port.

• NO. it will make you cool. but your TV will still suck. DVI will not transmit audio, there is a DVI-HDMI cable just type DVI in search bar then select the "dvi to hdmi option. there is a cable for separate audio too.

• Yes. The cable pictured will work. I have used this same kind of cable on an older SONY TV and an older Hitachi, both successfully.

• It works fine for ever othe dvi to hdmi connection I have used it with...both ways ... So I don't see why not...
