Have had no jams since purchasing. We do not feed 10 sheets at a time, usually 2-4 sheets is most common but have done 6 or 7 at a time. Because of the size of checks, they are fed one at a time, but have fewer and fewer of these as our banks stopped returning checks years ago and have only 1 or 2 pages a month showing the front and back of cashed checks. Credit union has cashed checks on line, so no paper there. It will do wire staples of the type for several sheets of paper, have not done any of the magazine variety. Also have done expired credit cards without any problems..
