Why does my speaker hum when I installed this cable. null

Are you sure that you are inserting the cable all the way? If not, it will hum. Sometimes, the diameter of the outer part of the plug will be too big for the hole that it has to fit into and then there isn’t proper contact.

You have the volume too loud on either your phone or the device to which you are plugging into. You have to lower the volume on the speaker to get the best sound
