Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your iPhone 8 charger was probably a 5 watt charger and not a USB-C. Go back to your original charger and it will fix your problem.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I purchased this cord and chose to purchase an apple plug. I have been having no problem charging either my I Pad or my phone. I did notice sometimes I need to wiggle it a little to ensure it is properly connected but when I hear the tone, I know it is has connected. It can take a few moments longer to do a full charge from low power than the much shorter cord that came with my I pad but it allows so much more flexibility. I work out with a friend via FaceTime and keep my I Pad plugged in the entire time, can position the I pad where I want, and it has worked well. I would suggest changing to an Apple plug if a little wiggle where it connects does not correct the problem. Good Luck.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’m not sure I’m using 20 W Apple wall charger with this cord and charging iPhone 12, iPhone 11, iPhone SE 2nd GEN, iPhone 7 just fine with it. Maybe it’s not plugged in properly, If you have a phone case try removing phone case and plugging directly into phone without case. You might need to modify phone case in order to plug-in properly with phone case on your phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It might be to much of a wire for iPhone 8. The type C chargers are for the iPhone 12 and require 15w-20w of power. It’s possible that you could fry your battery. Try going back to the regular plug that is usb to lightning.
