“Can I connect two computer monitors with this cable? One of my monitors has an HDMI cable connecting it to a computer. I would like to connect that monitor to a second one so that both would display the same image from the computer simultaneously.”

The monitor would have to have an output, which most monitors don't. You can get an HDMI splitter if your 2nd monitor has an hdmi input though.
