• Connects to my desk top monitor and my computer, I don't know anything about a smartboard wall outlet. I am stil on Star Trek from the mid 1960's, and Reel - To - Reel!

• Yes indeed. Just bought a new Dell laptop that came with a different cable to connect to a monitor, the laptop couldn't read it and I have to buy a different cable.
