• Same here. I have the unit operating for months with no frost build up to speak of. We are in the northeast and it winter at the time of this answer. We might get more frost build up in the humid summer months, but so far no problems with it at all.

• I’ve had this freezer running for a few months on almost max temp and have had no frost build up at all. I’d imagine if you leave the lid open for extended periods of time it would cause moisture to freeze inside.
