It’s worked great for us in the garage. No issues
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I downloaded the manual and couldn't find any admonitions about use in a garage. Where did you see that it wasn't recommended for garage use? (I do see that it advises against use in moist environments, but doesn't say why.)

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have our 7.5 cu in garage and have not had any issues. We had another unit in our garage for over 2 yrs, but it was an older unit and it just died like most freezers, as these newer freezers do not last like they used to.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it says garage ready, up to 110 degrees
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Instruction manual states: “• Garage ready in ambient temperatures of 0° to 110° F (-17.8° to 43.3° C).” You can download it from this product page.

The light still showed power was on but the compressor wouldn't kick on. Had no problems before the few cold nights and no luck getting it to come back on thereafter. Found this information on Quora "In very cold temperatures the compressor lubricating oil becomes too viscous and the compressor can’t start because of excess friction. This causes the compressor overcurrent protector to trip. If the freezer is left ON in a cold place, it will keep trying to start over and over again. It that happens enough times, the overcurrent protector will wear out and permanently stop the compressor. If you hear an occasional humming sound, followed by a click, about once every 5 minutes, then the freezer has a good chance of working again if it is moved to a warmer place."
