• Not very difficult. Remove a cover over a bracket on the top and remove 3 screws. The door will lift off the hingepin on the bottom. This is not a very wide/deep freezer.

• I really can't help with that. We had ours delivered and setup. Delivery personnel asked if we wanted it switched and would do it for us. They also removed and took away our old unit.
