If empty, my suggestion is to set it to minimum to conserve energy and reduce icing or you will be defrosting more often specially if you are always opening and closing the freezer. Too much accumulation of ice in the freezer increases your energy consumption because it is not operating efficiently and would require defrosting. Buy a properly sized well made cooler ice box to temporarily store your frozen stuff while defrosting the freezer. Raise or decrease the temperature setting as needed. Buy a mechanical freezer thermometer for about $6.00 at Amazon or a wireless freezer monitor for about $19.99 to give you an indication as to the temperature inside the freezer because it does not have an internal meter. I have both types of thermometer. The appliance really freezes stuff fast if you set it to the maximum when full. Try not to over freeze because the meat or poultry would have freezer burn. My inside the house freezer/refrigerator at -6 degree Celsius freezer compartment gives out a constant readout and is the perfect setting in my opinion because I have not experienced any freezer meat burn from this appliance since I bought it 10 years ago. Use the Freezer Thermometer to find the right setting for your needs and mark that dial setting.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Turn the Thermostat knob to adjust the temperature. MIN is the warmest temperature. MAX is the coldest temperature. The temperature range is 10.4°F to -11.2°F (-12°C to -24°C). Most users have it in the middle
