“I live in Florida. Can this upright freezer #6346184 be used in the garage where it can become quite hot in the summer months? I didn't see anything in the specifications that indicated it is garage friendly and the clerk in the store told us it was.”

I do not remember anything about this freezer being garage safe, but then again, I knew mine was going in the house, so I was not concerned. This is a nice budget level upright freezer at very low price that will hopefully last a long time under normal conditipns. Its always a chance when one buys the cheapest model and puts it under extreme conditions. Basically the freezers compressor will work very hard to keep to temp. Once compressor goes, replacing costs more than the $388 freezer. You could go for the geek squad protection plan for 5 years like I did so your covered just in case. So far, freezer doing well after a month and I love it.
