it will rarely come on if its in low temp/subzero,freon is natraly below zero, and is only in a liquid state because its under pressure!the only issue would be the evaporator freezing,but the freezer should be a automatic defrost,this is iside the freezer
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I do not know, as I have not received my 7 cu. ft. upright freezer yet, even though I paid for it in full already. However, If you set your freezer at 5 degrees or 0 degrees, it will not have to start because of the thermostat. I think freon is good down to negative 157 degrees Celsius.
