Mine is quite, you may want to keep it set with the dial in the mid range which should keep the contents at 0 degrees F. I recommend that you get a dial thermometer so you can monitor actual temperature.

I have an Insignia Freezer and it’s as quiet as a mouse walks. I hope you purchased warranty. Maybe yours is broken.
