- Answer It is not an ethernet cable, it is a phonec cable only. Ethernet cables lool like a phone cable on both ends, but are wider.

- Answer You need an RJ11 (M) type connector for the HP. I just spent 2 hours chatting with HP for the same issue with mine and a regular phone cord will not work. The M is for multi-line. Best Buy does not seem to include that information in any of it specs on the phone cords. Hope this helps. You probably need HP part number 8121-0811. You need to get it from another reseller, HP doesn't have the part for sale.
