This behavior is normal, this unit is constantly running.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No the unit is not defective; mine does the same. This model uses a thermoelectric system not a compressor. There is no vibration like there is with compressor systems, but they also cannot get as cold as compressor-based systems either. This is not a problem when storing wine at the stated temperatures of the unit. The thermoelectric systems have long lives but are not as energy efficient as compressor systems.
