• A:Answer I had the same problem, then realized there was a thinner layer of just brownish paper that needed to be pulled off. You are pulling off the 3m strip instead of just the paper covering over the 3m strip.

Q: QuestionI purchased two sets of these lights for two different rooms in the house. Unfortunately when you change the color of one set, it also controls the other set in the other bedroom. Is there a way to fix this. I have two very unhappy teenage girls.

• A:Answer If the two sensors have a direct line of sight at the same time to the remote they will both change colors. You can try holding the remote right up to the sensor of the light strip you want to change. If this won’t work then I would suggest exchanging these kits for the next size up because the next size up has a button on the light to change colors in addition to the remote. As for having two very unhappy teenage girls because of something so ridiculous, the only fix there is to give them a taste of some real world problems. They sound horrible. Good luck.

Q: QuestionI read that you could get a usb adapter (not included) to use w/the 16" so they could be connected to a TV and synced to its on/off power. Where could I get this adapter. Currently own these lights.

• A:Answer If the tape light turns on as soon as you plug it in, probably it was because when it was disconnected from power it wasn't off. This product retains the last power setting.
