I would prefer to get to the roller and feed roller to see sort of contamination there is. As the rollers are exerting some pressure, it is likely that whatever contamination there might be will likely be quite tightly stuck and comp. air is unlikely to move it. Check the owners manual and see if alcohol is allowed to clean their surfaces, always making sure that the printer is unplugged and some time is allowed to pass after using the solvent to allow it to completely dissipate - it is flammable.

More likely, your rollers have hardened and have become hard and slick, and this will not help that. Trichlorethylene works magic, apply with a Q-Tip, but it's banned in many places because it will cause you to die a slow, agonizing death from cancer. But you can still buy it on Amazon or Ebay.
