Insta pot has stainless steel pot while this has non stick pot.

This one does not have low temperature, only high. I use instant pot recipes and everything has turned out great. You may have to work on cook time due to it not having low temperature

I have two 6 qts 'Instant Pots" with the Teflon inside the pot. I have one for home & take one on the road because cooking is so much faster!
NOTE; There is an 8 qt version w/stainless steel pot, HAD TO HAVE
IT!!! 

I have never owned an Insignia. But this one got 1700+ reviews for an average rating of 4.7 Stars & it's an 8 qt!
For the money, a great deal. They really are so EASY TO USE.
They SHOULD come w/a short instruction book.
When these first came out & got popular, there weren't many recipes, so you'd have to guess sometimes.
HOWEVER, now even the different magazines & websites, "All Recipes" ; "Southern Living" & their websites as well, have ALLOT OF "INSTANT POT"/pressure cooker/recipes.

I LOVE MINE. It takes more time for prep than the actual cooking part. I fix a 1 lb - 2 lb bag of Pinto Beans (yes I'm from the South where beans & cornbread are still being cooked) & I don't have to "soak them" to get them to cook faster. I can use whatever seasoning I want to use. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THE "GOYA" BOXED SEASONINGS!!!
I DON'T have to buy PORK anymore for seasoning & then worrying about using it in a certain amount of time.
I have found "GOYA" being sold at Kroger in TN & Walmarts & I think Frye's in AZ has it - I stock up on it so I have a 8 box supply).
I take 6 or 8 boxes of the HAM FLAVOR with me on the road & have it at home.

If you get one, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

The Insigna does not appear to have manual controls. I realized this when I was trying to hard boil eggs, back to old school. Fortunately, this was a gift.

I’ve been told there is very little difference. However, I have not tried the Insta Pot.
