3.3(9 reviews)Q: QuestionThis question is actually for InsigniaCustomerSupport: Are there plans to offer accessories for the 8-quart Cooker like you have for the 6-quart? More specifically, a stainless steel pot option?
Asked by Nelson.
- A:Answer For those who are looking for additional or replacement silicone rings, I bought the Instant Pot replacement rings and they fit exactly right in this pot.

Q: QuestionFeel like this may be a dumb question but what is the difference between this and an insta pot?
Asked by Dan.
- A:Answer No such thing as a dumb question. Instant Pot has the manual button (this does not and i have the 8 quart. Disappointed. However, it works just press chicken for chicken. Meat for meat like roast or meatballs etc. Fish for fish. Etc.) A lot of recipes even on YouTube (and the Instant Pot Bible) will say press Manual. This is the major difference. But it still works like the Instant Pot. Also, some come with accessories for like canning etc. So far that is the only difference I noticed. Also, keep track of sales, and Deal of the Day (check every day cause you never know what you could save money on that you been wanting or needing) and under that will be bonus deals of the day. I found an InstantPot (maybe it was the Insignia) for like $30? Instead of over $100? It was like a good $75 savings. Which is Great! Ohh and 6 quart (either pot) is usually for small families like of one, two, possibly three. 8 and 10 quart is for bigger meals, etc, and bigger families.

Q: QuestionDoes this have a quick and natural release function like the Instant Pot? How does it usually take to release?
Asked by Ann.
- A:Answer Yes, you can either choose quick release (ie, manually moving the lever to release the steam) or you can let it release naturally. The one thing this pot doesn’t have is a count-up timer. When the cooking time is up, it beeps, and the display just reads 0H and stays that way, instead of counting up. So if you have a recipe that calls for 10 minutes natural release, the only way to know when 10 minutes are up is to set a timer on your phone to notify you. There is no indication on the pot itself. I believe it takes about 15 minutes to fully have the steam released through natural release.

Q: QuestionIs the inside pot coated with Teflon or is it stainless steel?
Asked by Cris.
- A:Answer The inner pot is aluminium with Teflon coated. Teflon is good in new. But it is fragile. Ones it cracked or wear out, It is not health to cook salty food. Because the salt will corrupt the inner aluminium pot. Aluminum chloride(AlCl3) may damage nerve. Q: QuestionI currently own the 6qt model and very happy with it. The 8 qt model went on sale this weekend and I purchased one. Confused why this model does not have a manual button to use like the 6 quart now its a guessing game which button do I press for my recipe
Asked by Jenn.
- A:Answer I purchased the 8qt model. For setting a manual time, press what your cooking, Fish steam, beans/lentils etc. Then when the 20minutes time pops up, press "Time Cook" and the + or - keys for time up & down. The only thing that will not let you change is rice/risotto. For wild rice I use the bean/lentils button & increase to 40 minutes. Hope this helps
